Ring Out the Old, Write in the New!
Hello, dear readers! As the last of the Christmas cookies crumble and the New Year looms like a shiny, unwritten page, I stand (or rather, sit hunched over my keyboard) ready to tackle an audacious resolution. Yes, the Christmas tree is barely out the door, and I'm already plotting a literary marathon: to write and publish four books this year. And, for a dash of extra daring, perhaps a novella or a collection of short stories tied to my debut series, 'The First Witch.'
Farewell First Witch, Hello Harlow
The festive season might be over, but the magic continues as I plan to conclude 'The First Witch' series with two more spellbinding books. These final chapters will wrap up a saga of enchantment and intrigue, bidding adieu to characters that have become like family.
But as one door closes, another opens—or in this case, another book. Harlow, a character who has been patiently waiting in the wings, will take center stage in a spin-off series. Fresh from the festive inspirations and armed with new year's resolve, I'm ready to dive into Harlow's world, filled with fresh adventures and untold stories.
Short Stories and Sweet Endings
Amidst these grand plans, there's the whisper of a novella or a short story collection, a literary cherry on top of the 2024 cake. These stories will offer a closer look into the nooks and crannies of 'The First Witch' universe, ensuring that even as the series ends, the magic lingers on.
Resolution Revolution
With Christmas just past and the New Year knocking, some may say my resolutions are more like a wish list to Santa than achievable goals. But with determination, a touch of madness, and perhaps a small army of supportive readers and caffeine, who's to say what's possible?
This year's mantra: write, edit, publish, repeat. And maybe, just maybe, sleep.
A Writer's New Year Toast
So, here's to the year ahead. To the stories waiting to be told, the characters itching to come alive, and the sleepless nights ahead. May our resolutions be resolute, our narratives strong, and our spirits undaunted.
Happy New Year to all! May it be filled with health, happiness, and a whole lot of writing. Cheers to a new chapter!
